Motion Media Works creates 3D animated TV commercial for energy drink.
The can was modeled in Lightwave whilst the label was stitched together from photos of a physical can - deformed and keyframed with bones.
Water droplets on the can were carefully placed mesh objects with refraction applied and raytraced when rendered.
Bubbles were rendered with hypervoxels in Lightwave, allowing the camera to get up-close to the bubbles without getting any jaggies, which would have been the case with using actual mesh objects.
Pouring of water in the scene was achieved with a cylinderical mesh with a multiple ripple and noise procedural textures applied, followed by animation along length of the cylinder.
